October District 2 Town Hall Meeting

Good Afternoon,

Join us this Saturday October 3, 2009 at Roosevelt High School located at 5110 Walzem Road for our first District 2 Town Hall Meeting.  Breakfast will be served at 8:30AM and the meeting will begin promptly at 9:00AM.  Several City departments will be present to answer questions and concerns from the community.  Please see the meeting agenda below:

9:00 to 9:15AM- Community Priorities
9:15 to 9:40AM- Questions and Answers
9:40 to 9:50AM - Break
9:50 to 10:20AM- Session one
10:25 to 10:55AM - Session two
10:55 to 11:00AM - Wrap up

Session One: Code Compliance, BRAC Updates
Session Two: Crime Prevention, Q&A with Councilwoman Taylor


There will also be information tables that will include: 311, VIA, Community Initiatives, and Housing and Neighborhood Services.

Also, don’t miss a great opportunity for a sneak peak of the new Roosevelt Branch Library.

This is a great opportunity to learn about what is going on in our community and get information useful to you and your neighborhoods.  I look forward to seeing you this Saturday!

If you would be so kind as to make your calendar of events public on an earlier basis, the media would be better able to notify your constituents, possibly increasing the number of attendees and/or participants at such events. Because decisions are made by those who show up, the more people know, the better able they are to make wise choices.
