As we enter the new decade, it is important for me to invest our city’s capital and talent to make the East Side of San Antonio the thriving community that it should be. Councilwoman Ivy R. Taylor joins me in requesting your collaboration to focus on specific strategies for reinvestment on our city’s East Side. On Saturday, January 9, 2010, the City of San Antonio will host an East Side Development and Reinvestment Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Your participation and attendance is requested and is vital to the success of this effort.
The purpose of the Summit is to prioritize and implement redevelopment strategies for the San Antonio East Side community. Be prepared to be actively engaged in sharing your desires, concerns and ideas. The Summit will be held at Sam Houston High School, located at 4635 East Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78220-1792.
In an effort to increase awareness and participation, please extend this invitation to other individuals you believe would add value to the Summit. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
